Depth and breadth of recognition Products and vendors are recognized across dozens of lists segmented by three types: Best Software Companies, Best Software Products, and Best Software by Function. Products and services are recognized at the category level across thousands of reports broken out by category, company segment, geographic region, and report type (Grid®, Momentum, and Index reports).

Grid® Reports offer a high-level overview of a category on G2, including which products have the most satisfied customers and largest presence in the market.

Index Reports offer a deeper dive into what matters most to buyers— product usability, implementation, relationship, and results.

Momentum Reports show which products are innovating and growing, which are remaining stagnant, and which are falling behind.
Eligibility criteria To be eligible for one of G2’s Best Software Companies or Products lists, a software product or company must have at least 10 reviews in the prior calendar year. Scores reflect only data from reviews submitted during the evaluation period (January 1st, 2025 - December 31, 2025). To qualify for inclusion in a Grid® Report, a product or service must have at least 10 reviews in the corresponding category. Scoring Scoring for both G2’s Best Software Awards and Market Reports use verified user reviews and publicly available market presence data. However, rankings may vary based on: eligibility criteria and timeline, list/report categorization, and more.
