What is a G2 Badge?

A G2 Badge is a globally recognized digital seal of approval awarded to software products and services that rank highly in their respective categories.

Unlike paid certifications, these badges are earnedstrong> based on authentic peer reviews and proprietary market data. Think of them as the "Michelin Stars" of the B2B software world.

What package is required to share and publish badges?

You must have a paid subscription to G2 to leverage all badges with the exception of the Users Love Us badge which is available to all vendors so long as they have 20+ reviews with a 4+ rating. The full guidelines are available here: G2 Community Guidelines for Businesses.

Where do I find Badges in the My.G2 admin?

Depending on whether you want to download the files for marketing or just change which badge shows on your profile, there are two primary paths:

1. For Marketing & Downloads (The Most Common Way)

If you need to download PNG/SVG files or get embed codes for your website, follow this path:

Log in to my.G2.
In the left-hand sidebar, navigate to Marketing Content.
Select G2 Badges.
Filter your results: Use the dropdown menus to select the specific Reporting Season (e.g., Spring 2026) and the Category you want to view.
Download: You can select "Download All" to get a ZIP file of every badge earned that season, or select individual badges to get their specific embed codes or image files.

2. To Change the Badge on Your G2 Profile

If you want to manually select which badge appears at the top of your public-facing G2 profile:

Go to Product Profile in the left-hand menu.
Select Product Information.
Scroll down to the Profile G2 Badge section.
Use the dropdown to pick your favorite earned badge.

Note: If you leave this on the default setting, G2 will automatically update it to show your highest-ranking badge from the most recent season.

3. Finding Historical Reports

If you want to see the full context of why you earned a badge:

Go to Marketing Content > Report Library.

This will show you the actual Grid® Reports and Index Reports where your badges originated.

Important Reminder: Starting in Summer 2025, G2 updated their policy so that report-based badges (like Leader or High Performer) are only available for download and public use for vendors with a paid subscription. If you are on a free plan, you will still see your earned badges in the admin, but you will only be permitted to download and use the "Users Love Us" milestone badge.
